2016 Nissan TITAN XD
Sid Dillon was thrilled to have been given an opportunity to get an up-close and personal look at the 2016 TITAN XD on Wednesday evening when we temporarily had this impressive new model here in our showroom. While it was here, we were able to get to experience this model from the inside out taking a closer look at not only its design features but its performance capabilities and array of standard features.
Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc. recently described this all-new model stating: “This new TITAN XD offers powerful towing and hauling capabilities closer to larger, more expensive heavy-duty trucks, while at the same time providing the ride comfort and affordability of a half-ton pickup. It’s a combination you won’t find in any other truck on the market today, something that is referred to as the ‘every duty’ pickup.”
Currently, the 2016 TITAN XD has been launched as a Crew Cab that is powered by a 310-horsepower Cummins® 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel paired to a heavy-duty 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission. This model also offers a maximum towing capacity of over 12,000 pounds when it is properly equipped. This vehicle will also offer five trim level options that include S, SV, SL, Platinum Reserve and the PRO-4X. Additional options that will be available on the full 2016 TITAN lineup will be three cab sizes, two frame sizes, and three different engines.
Some of the standard features that the 2016 TITAN XD is equipped with include Trailer Sway Control (TSC), an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Tow/Haul Mode with Downhill Speed Control, RearView Monitor with Trailer Guides and a Trailer Light Check system that includes checking running/clearance lights, turn signals, and brake lights.
This model also offers an available Around View® Monitor (AVM) that includes Moving Object Detection (MOD). There will also be two different trailer hitch options available that both include an integrated gooseneck hitch that has been integrated into the frame and can be accessed easily in the truck bed.
The PRO-4X trim comes standard with a number of off-road features such as Bilstein off-road shock absorbers, skid plates, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-terrain off-road tires, and electronic locking rear differential.
The TITAN XD Platinum Reserve will come standard with upgraded features such as 20-inch dark chrome aluminum-alloy wheels, premium leather-appointed heated seating, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood insert, dark chrome exterior trim, and two-tone paint treatment and more.
