Cadillac Releases Details Of New Rear Camera Mirror
Visibility is key when you are driving, especially when it comes to your mirrors. The mirrors are the eyes that help you to see around your vehicle so that you can always know what is coming from the back and sides as well as the front. The rearview mirror is a vital part of driving visibility, but unfortunately, your sightline through the back can be hindered by tall backseat passengers or large items that you are transporting. Having the back window blocked is not only annoying but it can also be quite dangerous. This is why Cadillac has developed a new and innovative way to ensure that visibility from your rearview mirror is never compromised no matter who or what you have in your back seat.
Earlier this year, Cadillac announced that they would be releasing a new Rear Camera Mirror and it is now making its official debut on the 2016 Cadillac CT6. This new mirror allows you to toggle between traditional rearview mirror and camera view depending on what is best for your current visibility. This system works through a small camera that is mounted on the rear decklid that plays real time footage of the road behind your vehicle through a screen in the rearview mirror. This way you will always be able to have an unobstructed view.
