The All-New 2016 Chevrolet Camaro
Chevrolet is introducing a number of changes to their 2016 lineup of vehicles. Among the most exciting are the modifications to the Silverado, completely re-designed Volt and Malibu, and maybe the most anticipated: the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and its three new powertrain options.
For the 2016 Camaro, Chevrolet started from the ground up carrying over only the Chevy bowtie emblem and SS badge from the fifth-gen Camaro and reduced weight by over 200lbs. Aside from the aesthetic differences inside and out; at Sid Dillon Chevrolet we are very excited about the new powertrain options.
Turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder Every engine option in the new line-up packs a punch – starting with the turbocharged 4-cylinder pushing out 275 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque this is the perfect car for performance on a budget. The new twin-scroll design nearly eliminates turbo lag and broadens the power band giving you power exactly when and where you want it.
As the highest producing naturally-aspirated V-6 in the GM lineup making 335 horsepower and 284 lb.-ft. of torque, the mid-range engine for the new Camaro is ready to rip. Mated to either the 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic this Camaro bring power and efficiency to the table like never before.
Powering the most powerful Camaro SS ever is the 455 horsepower, 455 lb.-ft. of torque, LT1 V8. Weighing 200 lbs lighter than the fifth-generation Camaro, the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro SS is bound to be a monster in a straight line and in the curves. The functional hood vents help cool the small block V8 and the new LT1 engine is designed to maximize strength and minimize vibration ensuring stable and smooth runs through the gears.
